United We Win

Mission Statement

Warfront to Homefront: WWII in Maryland is a coalition of Maryland museums, cultural and educational institutions, and civic groups working together to commemorate Maryland’s participation in World War II and to promote public awareness of local history and the importance of preserving it. We will offer, for students and the public, events and curriculum based programming between Pearl Harbor Day, December 7 2014, and the 70th anniversary of the end of the war in August 2015 that will emphasize how answering the call to “total war” affected Maryland and its citizens, bringing changes in technology and culture.

Please see the list of participating organizations for information about each of the organizations and their Warfront to Homefront events.
